In spiritual and mystery schools of the past it was taught that sacred geometry has been used by God to create the Universe.
Now we know that sacred geometry contains many mysterious elements that elegantly describe many phenomena such as the growth of plants, the proportions of a human body, the orbit of planets, light, the structure of crystals or music. This list can continue on and on.
This collection Larisa has dedicated to her parents.
When Larisa was a small girl her father in place of reading fairy tales would tell her stories about ancient scientists, astronomers and philosophers.
He used to be such a good story-teller that no matter how tired she was Larisa would always try to stay awake. She was getting sleepy and her eye-lids would become heavy but she knew that once she closes her eyes the father would stop telling the story.
Her mother use to read children books in which the main characters where numbers, about their adventures in the world of mathematics.
Her imagination would draw forms which years later had become alive as designs for dresses.
Now, many years later, after Larisa had switched from painting to fashion people often ask how is it possible to be designer without special designers education and where does she gets her inspiration?
It took long time thinking how to put into words something which was there all the time.
In the past Painting, Architecture, Geometry, Fashion, Philosophy and Poetry stood much closer to each other. Think about Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans…
Many people would perform several skills as well known Leonardo Da Vinci was a great painter, fashion designer, architect and a scientist who has discovered many unique things ahead for his time using geometry.
In our days it may seem odd to practice arts and make discoveries only on the grounds of observing the Nature. We have become greatly dependent on educational institutions.
However, observation of the Nature remains the best source of inspiration and helps discover new things.
